Iranian missiles hit buildings in Tel Aviv, and Israel claims to have killed a prominent Iranian military commander.

Iranian missile directly hit a building in the greater Tel Aviv area on Tuesday morning, adding, "Five Israelis were injured in the new Iranian missile attack in central Israel," without specifying the location.

Meanwhile, Channel 12 reported that Iran launched about 30 missiles at Israel in the latest wave, some of which landed in more than one location in the center of the country, including the city of Herzliya (central Israel).

The Hebrew channel reported powerful explosions in greater Tel Aviv and the Jerusalem area, and indicated that an Iranian missile fell on an empty bus in Herzliya.

Israeli strikes on Iran

The Israeli occupation army announced on Tuesday that its air force had launched "large-scale" raids on military targets in western Iran. In a statement, it continued, "Dozens of sites storing surface-to-surface missiles and infrastructure designated for launching them were bombed."

He added that "surface-to-air missile launch pads and drone storage sites in western Iran were bombed." The military did not provide further details or clearly identify the sites bombed, and there was no immediate response from Iranian authorities.

In a related context, the Israeli occupation army announced that it had "eliminated for the second time the Iranian Chief of Staff and the highest-ranking military commander of the Iranian regime."

"Following precise intelligence, IAF warplanes attacked a command center in the heart of Tehran, eliminating Ali Shadmani, Iran's chief of staff and the highest-ranking military commander and the one closest to Iranian leader Ali Khamenei," IDF spokesman Avichay Adraee said via the X platform.

The Times of Israel quoted the Israeli military as saying that Major General Ali Shadmani “had been heading the Khatam al-Anbaa Central Headquarters, known as the Iranian military’s emergency center, for about four days.” Shadmani replaced Gholam Ali Rashid, who was killed in the Israeli attack on Iran last Friday.

Explosions were heard in the city of Tabriz, according to Iranian media reports, and in the capital, Tehran, eyewitnesses said Israel continued its airstrikes throughout the night.

At dawn on Friday, Israel, with US support, launched a massive attack on Iran, bombing nuclear facilities and missile bases and assassinating military leaders and nuclear scientists. The attack left a total of 224 dead and 1,277 wounded, according to Iranian television.

That same evening, Iran began responding with ballistic missiles and drones, leaving approximately 24 dead, hundreds injured, and significant material damage by Monday afternoon, according to the Israeli Ministry of Health and Hebrew media.

Israel's current aggression against Iran is the most extensive, representing a transition from a "shadow war" of bombings and assassinations to an open military conflict.
