The National Resilience Institute is encouraging the Indonesian government to foster peace through various multilateral institutions amid the war between Israel and Iran, which is now also supported by the United States (US).
Lemhannas Governor Ace Hasan Syadzily said that peacebuilding could be done through the United Nations (UN) or the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and various organizations that can promote political stability in various regions of the world.
"Because only with world peace, as mandated by our constitution, will world economic growth run and we as a nation will certainly be affected if the world geopolitical situation is uncertain," said Ace in a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday.
In addition, it is also hoped that the Indonesian government will ensure the safety of Indonesian citizens (WNI) in countries in conflict so that they are truly protected, in accordance with the mandate of the constitution.
So far, Ace admitted that Lemhannas has conducted a study on the current global situation, namely a study of the global economic crisis and the global political crisis, which is conducted every week.
"Well, the principle that we always push is that we want the world to be truly stable because stability, both global and regional, will certainly affect domestic conditions in our country," he said.
