On Friday, a number of Libyans held a popular rally in the capital, Tripoli, to denounce the obstruction of the "Resilience Convoy" heading to break the siege on Gaza.
The demonstrators affirmed their rejection of any attempts to stop the convoy or disrupt its noble humanitarian goals without genuine justification.
The Joint Action Coordination for Palestine confirmed in an official statement that it had banned dozens of fake accounts that were spreading discord, lies, and unrealistic justifications for obstructing the convoy.
The coordination committee warned against being drawn into rumours or circulating false information.
She explained that the only entity authorized to issue statements and updates about the convoy is her official page, calling on citizens and media outlets to adhere to official sources and refrain from contributing, even in good faith, to attempts to mislead.
On Monday morning, June 9, the "Resilience Convoy" set off from the Tunisian capital, Tunis, heading for the Gaza Strip in an attempt to break the blockade, despite the interception of the ship "Madeleine," with hopes pinned on Egypt.
