Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto launched a program to accelerate the formation of Red and White Village and Sub-district Cooperatives in Maluku Province to improve the economy of the people in the area.
"This is based on Presidential Instruction number 9 of 2025 on the acceleration of the formation of red and white village cooperatives throughout Indonesia. This is a big idea from President Prabowo Subiyanto to build the economy from the village," said Yandri in Ambon,.
During the launch, Minister of Villages Yandri was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Ahmad Riza Patria, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono and Governor of Maluku Hendrik Lewerissa.
The Minister of Villages explained that the formation of village cooperatives was not only to boost local economic activity, but also to become the foundation for national independence in the long term, especially in realizing food self-sufficiency and distribution of basic necessities.
