The Digital Ecosystem Directorate of the Ministry of Communication and Digital has prepared a draft regulation for classifying games according to the age of the user in line with Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning Governance of the Implementation of Electronic Systems in Child Protection.
By preparing this classification, it is hoped that not only digital platform services but also games circulating in Indonesia can be easily identified by users so that they can help prepare digital content that is appropriate for child development in Indonesia.
"So later there will be a regulation that requires game studios or game publishers , both local and global, to be classified, this classification is to determine games according to age ratings ," said Head of the Game Ecosystem Development Team, Directorate of Digital Ecosystem, Kemkomdigi, Damayanti Karina Putri, when met at the Antara Heritage Center.
