The Palestinian Red Crescent said in a statement on Saturday: "Our crews are dealing with a young man who sustained a gunshot wound to the hand during an Israeli occupation forces raid on the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin," in the northern West Bank.
On Friday evening, the Red Crescent announced that a 15-year-old child was injured by live bullets in the back during the occupation forces' raid on the old Askar camp in the city of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.
Local sources reported to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that the occupation forces fired live bullets, last Friday evening, at Palestinian youths in the town of Al-Eizariya, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, which resulted in the injury of a 16-year-old child in the lower part of his body, after which he was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that a child was injured by occupation bullets in the town of Al-Eizariya, and a 21-year-old man was injured by live bullets in the hand and thigh in the town of Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem.
A prisoner was martyred in the occupation's prisons.
The Palestinian Authority for Prisoners' Affairs and the Prisoners' Club announced in a statement yesterday, Friday, that the General Authority for Civil Affairs informed them of the martyrdom of detainee Raed Suleiman Asasa (57 years old) from the town of Allar, north of Tulkarm, in Israeli occupation prisons, without clear information about the circumstances of his martyrdom.
The statement added, "Martyr Asasa worked within the 1948 territories, and since the genocide, the occupation has arrested thousands of workers and subjected them to unprecedented torture." The committee and club explained that "with the martyrdom of detainee Asasa, the number of detainees martyred since the genocide has risen to 72."
The Authority and the Club hold the occupation fully responsible for his martyrdom, "at a time when it continues its genocide against our people in Gaza and its comprehensive aggression, using all its policies and systematic crimes to target our existence and oppress our people using all systematic means and tools."
They renewed their call for the international human rights community to "proceed with effective decisions to hold the occupation leaders accountable for the war crimes they continue to commit against our people, and to impose sanctions that would place the occupation in a state of clear international isolation."
Arrests continue
Since last night, occupation forces have arrested 14 Palestinians from various areas of the West Bank after raiding their homes and vandalizing their contents.
Wafa reported the arrest of two Palestinians from the town of Deir al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarm, including the freed prisoner Abdul Rahman Fahmi Zidane (65 years old). The occupation forces also arrested four Palestinians from the Nablus governorate, after a raid on the Askar al-Qadeem camp, east of the governorate.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Qalqilya, raided the homes of released prisoners, and arrested four Palestinians after searching their homes and vandalizing their contents.
Siege and strict measures
This coincided with the occupation's tightening of restrictions and siege on the West Bank, against the backdrop of escalating attacks against Israel and Iran.
Israeli occupation forces continued to close the eastern entrance to Qalqilya, along with the entrances to the villages east of the city, preventing citizens from traveling. They also fired live bullets at any citizen attempting to approach the checkpoints or walk near them.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Rummana, west of Jenin, raided and searched three homes, destroyed their contents, and forced a Palestinian family to leave their home, turning it into a military barracks.
Israeli occupation forces deployed infantry forces in the town's streets and stormed the town of Anin, west of Jenin, raiding several homes, forcing residents to evacuate and converting them into military barracks.
Israeli occupation forces also stormed the town of Jalboun, east of Jenin, seizing a house and converting it into a military barracks. Israeli soldiers stationed in Jenin refugee camp were on high alert, and live ammunition was heard toward the Qunairi building in the camp's vicinity.
This comes as the Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps (north). WAFA reported that occupation bulldozers continued to demolish residential buildings in the center of Tulkarm camp for the eighth consecutive day.
The occupation forces also continue to impose a tight siege on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps and their surroundings, with infantry squads deployed in alleys, neighborhoods, and entrances, preventing residents from reaching their homes and firing directly at anyone who attempts to approach.
The occupation forces continue to transform Nablus Street into military barracks by continuing to seize a number of residential buildings there.
On Saturday morning, occupation forces closed the eastern and southern entrances to the city, tightened security at checkpoints, and prevented vehicles from passing.
settler attacks
In a related development, Hassan Malihat, supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA on Saturday that settlers had spread out among the homes of citizens in the Al-Auja Shalal community, north of Jericho, specifically in the Al-Omariyyin area, in a provocative and repeated attack, and had released their sheep among them.
Malehat added that the settlers also watered their sheep from the community's water tank, while residents bear the cost of water tankers at their own expense due to the lack of a regular water network. They also attempted to sabotage water sources in the area.
These violations come amid escalating Israeli attacks in the West Bank, in parallel with the ongoing war of extermination in the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian data, these attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least 978 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, the injury of approximately 7,000, and the arrest of more than 17,500 others.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has waged a war of extermination in Gaza, leaving more than 183,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that has claimed the lives of many, including children.
