Unexpected benefits of kisses and hugs

Scientists have concluded that loneliness affects not only mood but also general health.

An analysis of more than 42,000 people has shown that lonely people accumulate harmful proteins in their blood, increasing their risk of stroke, diabetes, and heart disease.

Clinical psychologist Daria Salnikova points out that some motor factors (kisses and hugs) develop a person's physiological sphere.

She says, "A kiss uses approximately 40 or more nerve endings, which has a positive effect on the nervous system, which physiologically helps prevent strokes and vascular diseases. The same applies to hugs."

According to her, the human psyche is in a constant psychomotor development, which depends on physical development.

She says, "It's not for nothing that it's said that exercise is essential, because on the hormonal level, it improves and elevates emotional well-being. Kisses, hugs, and touches affect a person tactilely, that is, on the skin, developing the entire motor domain. This forms a good foundation that will positively impact the physical and emotional domains in the future, and will also serve as a foundation for the mental domain."
