The occupation kills aid providers.

The government media office in Gaza announced in a statement on Monday evening that the Israeli army killed 11 personnel securing humanitarian aid trucks before they reached Gaza through the Israeli-controlled Zikim crossing in the northwest of the Strip.

Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the Israeli occupation army allowed aid trucks to enter after shelling security personnel, a policy observers say is aimed at spreading chaos in the Gaza Strip and facilitating the theft of aid.

Over the past few months, the Israeli military has escalated its attacks on personnel securing humanitarian aid reaching the Gaza Strip, a move government officials and human rights organizations have asserted is aimed at facilitating the theft of trucks by local gangs operating under military protection.

Earlier on Monday, the Israeli occupation army allowed a small number of aid trucks to enter through the Netzarim axis southwest of Gaza City.

Regarding the occupation's permission to bring in alleged aid, the Government Media Office stated, "The occupation continues to engineer famine and spread chaos: 87 aid trucks entered Gaza today, the majority of which were looted with direct and systematic Israeli complicity."

The office added, "No more than 87 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip today (yesterday, Monday), the majority of which were looted and stolen due to the chaos systematically perpetuated by the Israeli occupation."

He confirmed that the limited airdrop operation carried out on Monday did not exceed half a truckload of aid, and that it landed in red combat zones east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood and Jabalia, where the Israeli army is stationed. These are areas that are completely inaccessible to civilians.

Since the genocide began on October 7, 2023, Israel has been simultaneously committing a starvation crime against the Palestinians of Gaza. It tightened its measures on March 2, closing all crossings to humanitarian, relief, and medical aid, causing famine to spread and reaching "catastrophic" levels.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the death toll from famine and malnutrition as of Monday has reached approximately 147 Palestinians, including 88 children, since October 7, 2023.

The US-backed genocide left more than 205,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
