AC Milan officially announced the arrival of defensive midfielder Samuele Ricci from fellow Italian League club Torino in this summer's player transfer market on a permanent basis.
Quoted from the club's official website, Friday, AC Milan tied Ricci to a contract until June 2029, plus an additional one-year extension option until June 2030.
The 23-year-old will next have chosen to wear the number four shirt with AC Milan, while when defending Torino, he used the number 28 shirt.
The Italian player underwent a medical on Thursday evening local time and signed a contract with the Rossonerri at AC Milan headquarters.
"I am very happy, Forza Milan," said Ricci as he left AC Milan headquarters, Thursday evening local time, quoted from Football Italia.
According to several reports, AC Milan spent at least 25 million euros or around Rp. 475 billion to bring Ricci from Torino with a breakdown of 23 million euros in transfer fees and two million euros in additional fees.
Ricci started his career as a footballer with Empoli's junior team and was able to break into the senior team in 2019 and then moved to Torino permanently in 2022.
The player born in Pontedera, August 21, 2001 has appeared 113 times with Torino in various events, contributing four goals and seven assists from a total of 8,578 minutes of playing time.
In addition, he also made his debut with the Italian national team on June 4, 2022, when he faced Germany in the UEFA Nations League Group match.
