Ahead of Indonesia vs Vietnam, supporters turn GBK Stadium red

The Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, was seen crowded with supporters ahead of the final match of the 2025 ASEAN U-23 Championship between the Indonesian U-23 national team and the Vietnamese U-23 national team

Supporters entered the GBK Stadium area starting at 5:00 PM WIB. The majority of those in attendance wore Indonesian national team attire, typically the color red. Those attending included not only teenagers and adults, but also children with their families.

The crowd at SUGBK (Soccer Complex) was similar to that of Indonesia's final Group A match against Malaysia, and could even be even larger. The Indonesia-Malaysia match was attended by approximately 27,000 fans.

This number is currently the largest number of supporters present at the tournament, formerly known as the AFF U-23 Cup.

This is the second meeting between the two teams in the ASEAN U-23 final since the 2023 edition in Thailand, when the Garuda Muda were defeated by the Golden Star Warriors 5-6 in a penalty shootout.

This match marked Indonesia's second championship victory in the tournament, following the 2019 edition under Indra Sjafri. The Garuda Muda team won the tournament after defeating Thailand 2-1 in the final in Cambodia.

In addition, this final also serves as Indonesia's momentum for all age groups to win at SUGBK, after the last time in 1987 when it hosted the SEA Games.
