Atletico Madrid officially signed young full-back Marc Pubill from UD Almeria after the two clubs reached an agreement.
The transfer is still pending the results of a medical test and the signing of a contract by the player.
"Atletico Madrid and UD Almeria have reached an agreement for the transfer of Marc Pubill to our club, subject to the player passing a medical and signing a new contract," read an official statement quoted from Atletico's official website.
Pubill, a right-back for the Spanish U-21 national team, played the full 90 minutes at the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, scoring one goal against Slovakia. He was also part of Santi Denia's gold-medal-winning Spanish Olympic team in Paris in 2024.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Pubill appeared in five of the six matches and scored one goal in a 2–1 win over Uzbekistan.
The Club Gimnastic Manresa academy graduate began his professional career with Levante and made his first-team debut in December 2021.
He then joined Almeria in 2023 and made 63 appearances, scoring two goals and providing eight assists.
