Australian rider wins stage three of the 2025 TdBI cycling race

Australian racer Carter Bettles, who plays for the Roojai Insurence Thailand team, managed to become the fastest in the third stage of the 2025 Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen (TdBI) event which took place in Banyuwangi, East Java, on Wednesday.

Carter Bettles only needed 3 hours 13 minutes and 7 seconds to complete the third stage with a route of up and down 140.3 kilometers from the Glenmore Green Open Space (RTH) to the Banyuwangi Regency Government Office.

Nicolo Pettiti (Italy/Swatt Club Italia) had to settle for second place, while Lucas de Rossi (France/Anta-Mentech Cycling China) finished third. The three finished almost simultaneously, separated by less than a second upon arrival at the Banyuwangi Regency Government Office.

Meanwhile, Dutch rider Jeroen Meijers (Victoria Sports Cycling Philippines) finished in seventh place, seven seconds behind Bettles. However, that was enough for Meijers to maintain his lead in the overall standings and retain the yellow jersey, or Ijen Sulfur Jersey, for the final stage on Thursday (July 31).
