The Sumatra VIII River Basin Center stated that the target for completion of the construction of the Tiga Dihaji Dam in South Ogan Komering Ulu , South Sumatra, has been postponed to 2026.
Head of BBWS Sumatra VIII Feriyanto Pawenrusi in Palembang, Wednesday, said that until June 26, 2025, the realization of the construction of the Tiga Dihaji Dam, which is included in the National Strategic Project (PSN), has reached 57.81 percent.
The construction of the PSN in South Ogan Komering Ulu was previously targeted for completion in early 2024.
However, because there were problems related to land and design changes, the final completion was targeted to be delayed until 2026."We are trying to accelerate it by asking for support from the regional government through the Governor of South Sumatra to the central government regarding the acceleration of the completion of the construction of the Tiga Dihaji Dam," he said.
In addition, the construction of the Lempuing Irrigation Network has currently reached 25 percent of the total development plan.
The physical work for Lempuing Irrigation was delayed several times due to failed auctions.
Thus, a re-tender was conducted for planning and supervision so that the start of construction in the field was delayed.
In accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025, the development of the Lematang Irrigation Area is no longer part of the PSN for the 2025-2029 period. Therefore, currently the development of the project, both primary and secondary channels, has entered the maintenance period until March 2026, said Feriyanto.
