Super League Persib Bandung coach Bojan Hodak is confident the Indonesian U-23 national team will be able to emerge victorious in the 2025 ASEAN U-23 Championship.
Quoted from the club's official website, Tuesday, Bojan said the Indonesian U-23 National Team has a chance to win the title, especially since the Garuda Muda squad is playing in front of their supporters.
"Indonesia is playing at home. It's not easy to play in a full stadium. But I'm sure the atmosphere will be great. So, Indonesia will win," said Bojan.
The Indonesian U-23 national team is one step closer to becoming the champion of the 2025 ASEAN U-23 Championship by appearing in the final match against the Vietnamese U-23 national team at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
On their way to the final, Gerald Vanenburg's squad topped Group A by defeating Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines, before being held to a draw by Malaysia.
When competing in the semifinals, Indonesia was able to eliminate tough rivals Thailand through a penalty shootout after previously drawing 1-1 for 120 minutes.
In the final match against Vietnam, Garuda Muda is certainly ambitious to win the title and settle the grudge of the 2023 final.
At the 2023 ASEAN U-23 Championship in Thailand, Indonesia finished second after losing to Vietnam in a penalty shootout.
This also serves as an opportunity for Indonesia to add to its tally of ASEAN U-23 Championship titles, reaching two, having last won the 2019 edition.
