Bournemouth are close to signing Petrovic to replace Kepa.

English Premier League club AFC Bournemouth is reportedly close to signing Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has left for Arsenal.

The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, quoted from his official X account, Saturday, reported that Bournemouth's agreement to acquire Petrovic was worth 25 million pounds sterling or around Rp. 547 billion.

"Bournemouth have reached a full agreement with Chelsea to sign Djordje Petrovic. The deal for the 25-year-old goalkeeper is worth £25 million," Ornstein said.

The deal means Petrovic will undergo a medical next week, before signing a five-year contract.

"The Serbian international will be allowed to undergo a medical next week and will proceed with his move from #CFC to #AFCB on a five-year contract," Ornstein said.

Petrovic joined Chelsea in the 2023-2024 season from American club New England. He made 31 appearances in all competitions, keeping seven clean sheets.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper was then loaned to Strasbourg the following season, where he made 31 appearances, keeping 10 clean sheets, and helped the team finish seventh in Ligue 1.

Meanwhile, Kepa was a key player for Bournemouth as the Cherries achieved their highest points tally in the history of their participation in the English top flight, after collecting 56 points in ninth place.

In the 2024-2025 season, the 30-year-old Spanish goalkeeper made 35 appearances, including 31 in the Premier League, keeping eight clean sheets.
