This came in a written response from the embassy to an inquiry by the Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom, in which it confirmed that reports about China delivering air defense systems to Iran were "incorrect."
The embassy clarified that China does not export weapons to any countries engaged in armed conflicts, emphasizing Beijing's position of refusing to supply weapons under such circumstances.
Middle East Eye reported, citing unidentified sources, that China had delivered air defense systems to Tehran following the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel.
It's worth noting that on June 13, Israel, with US support, launched a 12-day aggression against Iran, targeting military and nuclear sites, civilian facilities, military leaders, and nuclear scientists.
Iran responded by targeting Israeli military and intelligence headquarters with ballistic missiles and drones, before Washington announced a ceasefire agreement between the two sides on the 24th of the same month.
