Coach: Gregoria's instincts were missing at the 2025 Japan Open

PBSI women's singles coach Imam Tohari said Gregoria Mariska Tunjung has yet to rediscover her best playing instincts and rhythm when she competes in the 2025 BWF World Tour Super 750 Japan Open.

Gregoria was eliminated in the first round after losing to host representative Riko Gunji 10–21, 12–21. This was her first match after a three-month absence due to vertigo.

"After being absent for three months, it's clear that his playing style and instincts have disappeared. He hasn't found his proper rhythm yet," said Imam in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI).
