Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria held a discussion with several internet and digital practitioners in Indonesia to discuss the direction of national digital policy.

Nezar said the meeting highlighted the technology and digital experts' concern for Indonesia's progress and position amidst geopolitical and social upheavals, both domestically and globally. He emphasized the importance of involving practitioners in developing the national digital ecosystem.

"Indonesia's position is very strategic amidst the global competition for digital technology development, which is now a battleground for influence among major countries. We continue to strive to ensure our digital talent, as well as our technological research, are increasingly well-resourced by involving multiple stakeholders, including industry, academia, the technical community, and civil society," Nezar said in a statement.
