Since dawn on Monday, the Israeli occupation forces have killed at least 50 Palestinians and injured dozens more, following airstrikes on various parts of the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported in a statement on Monday that "14 Palestinians, including two children, were killed due to starvation and malnutrition within 24 hours," noting that the death toll from Israeli starvation had risen to "147 Palestinians, including 88 children."
Medical sources said: "The bodies of three martyrs arrived at the Baptist Hospital following an Israeli airstrike that targeted an apartment near Al-Zahraa School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City."
Two Palestinians were killed and others injured when Israeli warplanes targeted the Namaa College headquarters, which houses displaced people in the Saftawi neighborhood north of Gaza City, according to medical sources.
Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip said in a statement: "We received seven martyrs and 22 wounded as a result of the (Israeli) occupation targeting civilian gatherings." It explained that the gatherings were "near the aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of the Wadi Gaza area in central Gaza Strip."
Medical sources reported that "at least 19 people were killed and several others missing under the rubble following an Israeli airstrike that targeted homes in the southern and central Gaza Strip early this morning."
"Ten Palestinians were killed, more than 30 were injured, and others went missing in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house near the Al-Attar station in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip," according to eyewitnesses. The witnesses added that "the targeted house was surrounded by several displaced people's tents, which were damaged and whose residents were injured."
Medical sources reported that "at least five Palestinians were killed, others were injured, and others are missing under the rubble, as a result of an Israeli airstrike." They explained that "the raid targeted and destroyed the home of the Nofal family in the Japanese neighborhood west of Khan Yunis, which was surrounded by tents buried in the sand. The displaced people inside were injured."
Eyewitnesses also reported that "the occupation army carried out numerous bombings and demolition operations against buildings in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, and the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Yunis."
On Sunday, the Israeli military announced a "humanitarian truce" that included allowing limited airdrops of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and began what it called a "tactical suspension of military activities" in specific areas of Gaza to allow aid to pass through.
International organizations and bodies considered Israel's move to be "promoting the illusion of relief," while its army continues to use starvation as a weapon against Palestinian civilians by continuing to close the crossings to aid.
40,000 infants are at risk of death
Regarding famine, the government media office in the Gaza Strip warned of the imminent threat of the death of 40,000 Palestinian infants due to the occupation's ban on the import of baby formula.
"There is an imminent risk of the death of thousands of infants in the Gaza Strip, due to the Israeli occupation's prevention of the entry of baby milk," the office said in a statement.
He warned that "the Gaza Strip is on the verge of an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe threatening the lives of tens of thousands of infants, as a result of the Israeli occupation's continued ban on the entry of baby formula for 150 consecutive days, in a silent crime of genocide."
He continued, "In the Gaza Strip, there are more than 40,000 infants under the age of one year who are at risk of slow death due to this stifling, criminal blockade," calling for "the immediate and unconditional opening of the crossings, and the urgent entry of baby formula and relief aid."
He held "the occupation, the countries involved in the genocide, and the international community fully responsible for every innocent life lost due to this systematic siege."
Earlier on Monday, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) confirmed that all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are hungry, but children are "suffering the most" due to the Israeli blockade.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has been waging a war of genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide left more than 204,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children
