Vietnam U-23 national team player Viktor Le acknowledged that winning the 2025 ASEAN U-23 Championship trophy is very important for his team.
Vietnam won this title after defeating the host Indonesian U-23 national team with a score of 1-0 through Nguyen Cong Phuong's goal in the 37th minute at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Tuesday.
"This has always meant a lot to us. We can return to our country with the trophy. Everyone will be happy, and this is very valuable for the Vietnamese people," Viktor said when met by reporters at the mixed zone of the GBK Stadium.
This title is the third consecutive title won by the Golden Star Warriors after 2022 and 2023, but this is the first time for Viktor, who was born in Moscow, Russia.
