The ongoing World AI Conference 2025 in Shanghai, eastern China, showcases the world's latest AI advancements while providing a platform for visitors to access AI products and technologies.
At the exhibition, a number of visitors experienced driving with the next-generation intelligent cockpit system based on a large model from StepFun at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference.
The organizers also showcased robot dogs and humanoid robots independently developed by China Mobile. There were also humanoid robots serving popcorn and drinks.
More than 60 humanoid robots were showcased at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2025 in Shanghai, demonstrating capabilities across a wide range of industrial and service applications as China moves closer to large-scale commercialization.
Previously, humanoid robots were limited to stage performances. But now, humanoid robots in China are transitioning to practical industrial use and are ready to move from the laboratory to mass production and commercial applications, said Du Guangda, deputy director of the Department of Science and Technology at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.Held July 26-28, WAIC 2025 features an exhibition area of over 70,000 square meters -- with over 800 companies showcasing over 3,000 cutting-edge products.
