Hebrew media: Witkov heads to Israel to discuss the Gaza file and visits aid distribution sites in the Strip.

Channel (12) said that Witkov will head to Israel to discuss the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, and explained that Witkov will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to Israel.

For its part, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth expected Witkov to visit humanitarian aid distribution sites in the Gaza Strip, affiliated with the US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

On May 27, Tel Aviv and Washington adopted a plan to distribute limited aid outside the supervision of the United Nations and international organizations, under the supervision of the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation."

This mechanism has exacerbated the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, with the Israeli army firing on those queuing for aid, forcing them to choose between starvation or being shot.

Since the genocide began on October 7, 2023, Israel has been simultaneously committing a starvation crime against the Palestinians of Gaza. On March 2, it tightened its measures by closing all crossings to humanitarian, relief, and medical aid, causing famine to spread and reaching "catastrophic" levels.

Although Israel has allowed dozens of humanitarian trucks into the Gaza Strip since Sunday, a Strip that needs more than 500 trucks per day as a minimum to save lives, it has facilitated and provided protection for the theft, according to a statement from the government media office.

The government office said Monday evening, "No more than 87 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip today, most of which were looted and stolen due to the chaos deliberately perpetuated by the Israeli occupation."

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the number of deaths from famine and malnutrition since October 7, 2023, through Wednesday has reached approximately 154 Palestinians, including 89 children.

The US-backed genocide left more than 206,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many.
