The Indonesian Grand Prix equestrian championship was prepared by the Central Board of the All Indonesia Equestrian Sports Association to select athletes who will enter national training ahead of the 2025 SEA Games.
The championship, which only competes in the show jumping event, will take place at the Arthayasa Stable Limo equestrian arena, Depok, West Java, from Friday to Sunday.
In addition, the final round of the most prestigious match class, namely the FEI CSI 1*-W SEA League, will also be contested.
"The FEI CSI 1*-W 140 cm competition class is the main class in this championship, and if possible we will also increase the jump height to 145 cm. Then all the results of the competition in that class will be recommendations in the selection of athletes who will be sent to the training camp in Europe," said PP Pordasi Equestrian Commission Chairman Rafiq Hakim Radinal in an official statement.
"We will also look at the results of the matches in the 130 cm class and if there are athletes who have potential, we will also recommend them," he added.
