Indonesia introduces PP Tunas as a global benchmark for child protection in the digital era.





The Indonesian government has introduced Government Regulation (PP) Number 17 of 2025 concerning the Governance of Electronic Systems for Child Protection, known as PP Tunas, to serve as a global reference for safeguarding and protecting children in the digital era.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid in her meeting with the Secretary General of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Doreen Bogdan-Martin, in Geneva, Switzerland, Wednesday (9/7).

"PP Tunas reflects Indonesia's commitment to protecting children online, for the health and well-being of the younger generation," said Meutya in a press statement .
