The Indonesian U-16 national volleyball team recorded one win and one loss each in the 2025 Asian U-16 Championship, which left the Garuda squad in third place in the Group B standings, with one match remaining against Hong Kong .
Quoted from the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) website in Jakarta, Indonesia lost 1-3 (21-25, 25-21, 25-19, 26-24) to Iran, Saturday (12/7), and won 3-1 (25-14, 25-15, 18-25, 25-11) over Kazakhstan, Sunday.
To qualify for the top spot in the tournament held in Thailand, Indonesia must finish in the top two of its group.
If Indonesia were to finish in third or fourth place, the maximum they could achieve would be ninth place in the competition.
The Indonesia versus Hong Kong match took place on Monday (14/7) starting at 10.00 WIB and was broadcast on the Asian Volleyball Confederation YouTube channel.
The 2025 Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship will feature 16 teams divided into four groups. The tournament will take place in Thailand from July 12-19, 2025.
