Two OpenAI researchers, Jason Wei and Hyung Won Chung, will reportedly join Meta's Superintelligence Lab's artificial intelligence (AI) technology development team.
According to a Wired report citing two sources familiar with the hirings, reported by Tech Crunch on Thursday, their departure from OpenAI further strengthens Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's efforts to catch up in the field of AGI ( Artificial General Intelligence ).
Wired's sources say the two researchers' internal Slack profiles at OpenAI have been deactivated, indicating they are no longer active at the ChatGPT developer.
