Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid invited global digital platforms to contribute to maintaining the media ecosystem in Indonesia.
"If we can push together, not only from the government but also from the public to demand that these platforms contribute to the media ecosystem in the country, I think that will also be good," said Meutya in a Working Meeting with Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives at the parliamentary complex.
He explained that the Ministry of Communication and Digital is encouraging the implementation of Publisher Rights which has made Google committed to providing compensation to media whose news is broadcast on its platform.
