"I had another meeting with President Trump at the White House, followed by a brief meeting with Vice President Mike Pence," Netanyahu said in a post on the X platform.
Netanyahu arrived in the United States on Sunday, met with Trump for the first time early Tuesday morning, and is scheduled to leave Washington on Thursday.
Netanyahu noted that Israel's efforts focused on freeing Israeli detainees held by Palestinian factions, stressing that there would be no compromise on this issue. He said, "This is possible thanks to the military pressure exerted by our soldiers."
In a related development, Hamas announced on Friday evening that it had submitted its response to the ceasefire proposal to mediators, following the completion of internal consultations with Palestinian factions. The movement described its response as "positive," affirming its readiness to immediately enter into a round of negotiations on the mechanism for implementing the proposal, while Netanyahu continues his military campaign in the Gaza Strip.
Regarding Israeli losses in the fighting, Netanyahu said, "This effort has exacted a heavy price from us, with the loss of our finest officers and soldiers." He added, "Nevertheless, we are determined to achieve all our goals, including the release of all hostages, the elimination of Hamas's military and governmental capabilities, and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel."
The Israeli occupation army announced Monday evening that five soldiers were killed and 14 others were wounded, including two seriously, in fighting in the northern Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, continues to carry out high-profile operations against Israeli forces, amid tight monitoring by Tel Aviv of the human losses.
Netanyahu also discussed with Trump "the implications and possibilities of Israel's great victory over Iran," referring to the Israeli aggression against Iran last June, which included targeting military and nuclear sites and civilian facilities, and was met with Iranian retaliation with ballistic missiles and drones targeting Israeli targets.
Regarding the normalization agreements, Netanyahu emphasized the opportunities to expand the circle of peace and the Abraham Accords, expressing his determination to work toward this goal.
Despite Israeli tensions and attacks on several Arab countries, Netanyahu referred to "a joint effort to achieve a great future for the Middle East and the State of Israel."
The official Israeli Broadcasting Authority learned that the meeting lasted approximately an hour and a half, without issuing a joint statement at its conclusion.
