The North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office has returned the case files regarding the alleged stabbing of a functional prosecutor and state civil servant from the Deli Serdang District Prosecutor's Office to investigators from the North Sumatra Regional Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate because they were deemed incomplete.
"The case files were returned to investigators via P-19 notification because there were still deficiencies, both formally and materially," said Head of Legal Information at the North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office, Adre Wanda Ginting in Medan, Monday.
He explained that the Public Prosecutor's (JPU) team handling the case had examined the files and given instructions to investigators to immediately complete the deficiencies.
"If the prosecutor's instructions have been fulfilled, the investigator can send the case file back for re-examination to determine formal and material completeness," he explained.
Previously, a joint team from Subdit III Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Sumut arrested three suspects suspected of being involved in the stabbing of Prosecutor Jhon Wesli Sinaga (53) and Asensio Silvanov Hutabarat (25), administrative staff of the Deli Serdang District Attorney's Office.
