Nothing launched its newest flagship phone, the Phone (3), after two years of not releasing a new product.
The cellphone with a transparent design and advanced features that was launched in London, England, Tuesday (1/7), was presented to compete with products from technology giants such as Samsung and Apple according to a TechCrunch report .
Since releasing the Phone (1) in 2022, startup Nothing has relied on transparent designs to make its products stand out. Its products come with the Glyph feature, an LED light on the back, for visual notifications.
The Phone (3) follows the same design language, but introduces a camera arrangement that eschews the square or circular alignment commonly found on smartphones.
On the Phone (3), the Glyph is replaced by the Glyph Matrix, a circular mini LED display in the top right corner of the back of the phone.
This addition features a 16-bit style pattern that can offer more information than the previous Glyph layout.
The company released mini-apps for this interface, including spin the bottle and “rock, paper, scissors” games .
