On Monday, Diaz underwent a medical and signed a contract with Bayern.

Liverpool player Luis Diaz is reportedly set to undergo a medical and sign a contract with his new club Bayern Munich after the two clubs reached an agreement.

"Luis Diaz will travel to undergo a medical and sign at Bayern," wrote journalist Fabrizio Romano, quoted from his official X account, Monday.

The two clubs have agreed on a four-year contract worth €75 million (approximately Rp1.43 trillion). At Bayern, Diaz will replace Leroy Sane, who has left for Galatasaray.

During his time at Liverpool since midway through the 2021/2022 season, Diaz has made 148 appearances in all competitions for the Reds, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists as he won five domestic trophies, including the Premier League.

He will be Vincent Kompany's third signing of the summer transfer window after Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen and Tom Bischof from TSG Hoffenheim.

"FC Bayern have reached a full agreement to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool, here we go! A €75 million package has been agreed," Romano wrote.

"Lucho wanted to leave, Liverpool agreed to his terms and Diaz will now sign a four-year contract at Bayern," he added.

The 27-year-old Colombian winger missed Liverpool's pre-season tour match against AC Milan at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on Saturday.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot confirmed that Diaz's absence from the matchday squad was not due to injury, but rather due to recent transfer speculation linking him.
