The Garut Police said the west gate of the Garut Regency Hall, West Java, remains open to the public and no police lines have been installed following the riot at an official's wedding party that killed three people.
"Yes, no police line was installed, evening we were already processing the crime scene," said Head of Public Relations of the Garut Police, Ipda Susilo Adhi in Garut, Sunday.
He said that the West Java Regional Police and Garut Resort had sent a team to conduct an investigation regarding the People's Party incident at the Garut Pendopo which caused many residents to faint, and three people died, one of whom was a member of the Police.
The investigation process, he said, does not require the Pendopo Garut area to be closed or police lines installed, people can still carry out activities and pass through the gate.
"People can still pass through and carry out activities at the Pendopo," he said.
He said that even though no police lines were put up, the police were still monitoring the Pendopo area, especially the gate which was the point where the riot occurred.
"We are still monitoring the situation, and we have also marked the points in the crime scene investigation," he said.
