PSS Sleman assistant coach Ansari Lubis believes his team learned many important lessons from the trial match that ended in a 0-1 defeat against Persebaya in a series of Team Launching Games at the Gelora Bung Tomo (GBT) Stadium in Surabaya evening.
"Despite the loss, the players put in a very good performance. Their chemistry is starting to develop. This is a great moment for all the players and coaching staff," said Ansari during a post-match press conference at GBT Stadium in Surabaya on Saturday evening (July 19).
In addition, he said, the coaching team as a whole will conduct a thorough evaluation of the performance of their players in the match.
He continued, saying that several things that were noted included the difficulty in dealing with the opponent's counter-attacks and the less than optimal use of tactical violations in the midfield.
