Relegated to Division B, the coach believes the women's national team has achieved its maximum.

The Indonesian women's national basketball team coach, Andrie Ekayana, said that the players had fought hard to stay in Division A of the International Basketball Federation's Women's Asian Cup, even though they were ultimately forced to be relegated to Division B.

She explained that the 57-67 defeat against Lebanon in the match for the final ranking of 7-8 in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025 Division A, forced her team to be relegated.

"They put up their best fight, so kudos to the players," said Ekayana after the match at the Shenzhen Sports Center, China, Friday.

He explained that many lessons were learned from the Division A matches, which would be very useful for facing other international championships in the future.

"Everything is a lesson, especially the aggressiveness of the game, which must be improved," said the man who is often called Coach Yayan.
