In her statements to the Rheinische Post newspaper, Al-Abli Radovan said: "I wish Germany would join the signal sent by the 29 partners. What is happening in Gaza now is unimaginable. Innocent children are dying of hunger."
"We need an immediate and permanent ceasefire now, not later," she added, stressing that the demands contained in the letter were "understandable."
It also called for the protection of civilians in Gaza and for necessary humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Palestinian enclave.
She also stressed the need to respect international law, saying: "International law must be respected, humanitarian aid must be allowed to pass without hindrance, safe humanitarian corridors must be established, and unrestricted access for the United Nations and humanitarian organizations must be permitted."
She expressed her dismay at the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, warning that the suffering of civilians had reached "new dimensions."
