The occupation targets the starving in Gaza, admits to destroying aid, and warns of a "mass massacre" in the Strip.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported in a statement that "57 martyrs, including three who were recovered, and 512 injured" arrived at hospitals in the Strip within 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli attacks.

She noted that the death toll among aid-seekers since May 27 has risen to "1,121 martyrs and 7,485 injured, following the martyrdom of 29 Palestinians and the injury of more than 165 others within 24 hours."

The ministry announced that the death toll since Israel resumed its genocide on March 18 has risen to "8,581 martyrs and 32,436 wounded."

She stated that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to "59,733 martyrs and 144,477 injuries since October 7, 2023."

Massacres in all sectors

Medical sources announced that the number of Palestinians killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a civilian gathering in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, west of Gaza City, has risen to three.

At dawn on Saturday, four Palestinians, including a man and his wife, were killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting an apartment in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City.

Local sources reported that a Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment targeting a gathering of civilians near the Bani Suhaila roundabout, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources also said that a Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli artillery attack on a house in the Block 3 area of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses said that a Palestinian waiting for aid trucks was killed in the northern Gaza Strip by Israeli fire.

In a statement, the Palestinian Civil Defense said its crews were able to recover the bodies of 12 Palestinians in the Morag axis area, which is controlled by the Israeli occupation army, north of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.

Civil Defense added that the bodies were recovered after coordination with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces fired several rounds of firebombs during the night, and detonated booby-trapped robots around the Shuja'iyya Junction, east of Gaza City.

famine worsens

This comes as the severe famine in the Gaza Strip worsens due to the stifling Israeli blockade.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) announced on Saturday the death of infant Hood Arafat due to malnutrition and a lack of milk, bringing the death toll from starvation to five, including two children, in the past 24 hours.

Medical sources told WAFA that the number of starvation deaths in the Gaza Strip has risen to 127, including 85 children.

In this context, the Government Media Office in Gaza warned in a statement that "more than 100,000 children under the age of two, including 40,000 infants under the age of one, face imminent mass death within days, given the complete lack of baby formula and nutritional supplements, the continued closure of crossings, and the prevention of the entry of even the most basic supplies."

The media office also warned that Palestinians in Gaza were facing "an anticipated and deliberate mass killing being perpetrated slowly against infants whose mothers have been feeding them water instead of baby formula for days."

He explained that the Gaza Strip's hospitals and health centers have recently recorded "a daily increase in hundreds of cases of severe, life-threatening malnutrition, with no capacity to respond or treat them due to the near-total collapse of the health sector and the lack of medical and food resources."

He called for "the immediate entry of baby milk and nutritional supplements into the Gaza Strip, and the immediate opening of the crossings without any conditions."

He also called for urgent international action to "stop the slow-motion genocide" being perpetrated by Israel in Gaza and to break the "completely criminal" blockade.

Destruction of aid

The Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported Friday evening that trucks carrying tens of thousands of humanitarian aid parcels had been left undistributed for weeks at the Kerem Shalom crossing, until they spoiled.

"We buried everything in the ground, and burned some of the materials," one officer told Kan, without specifying the exact timing of the incident.

He added, "Even today, there are thousands of parcels waiting in the sun, and if they are not brought into Gaza, we will have to destroy them as well."

Military sources told Kan that "only 100 to 150 trucks are allowed to enter the Palestinian crossing daily, and most of them are not unloaded due to the breakdown of the distribution mechanism."

The channel quoted another Israeli officer as saying: "We have the largest grain store in the world here, and if the existing goods are not removed, we will destroy and bury them."
