Access to courts in Baja California will be controlled; authorities will maintain protocol.

Mexicali, BC, August 23, 2021.- The service provided in the Civil, Commercial, and Family Courts of First Instance in Baja California will be controlled under health protocols , as announced by the State Judicial Council.

Access to the courthouse will not require an appointment; it will be walk-in. It's important to mention that, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic , measures have been taken to control the entry and exit of people at the various courts.

One of the measures implemented at the start of the health emergency was appointment-based procedures , carried out through the institution's website, to prevent crowding.

Currently, the Judiciary is maintaining its functions and holding hearings, including contentious ones, despite the state's traffic light system. However, security checkpoints at institution entrances are in place to take temperatures and control access.
