On the 22nd of last month, a 14-year-old female student was assaulted, insulted, and forcibly stripped by several teenagers. A video of the bullying incident began circulating online on the 2nd of this month. The video shows the perpetrators expressing fear of calling the police, claiming, "It's not like I've been in jail before and been released in two days." There were also online rumors that the perpetrators were the son of a government official, but the local government specifically refuted these rumors. Police stated that Lai suffered injuries to his scalp and knees, which were diagnosed as minor. All suspects have been brought to justice. Liu A and Peng X have been given public security sanctions, while Liu B and other bystanders have been reprimanded and their guardians have been ordered to exercise strict discipline.
Thousands of residents, dissatisfied with the official handling of the situation, gathered outside the city government on the 4th to protest, demanding severe punishment for the perpetrators. Authorities deployed a large number of special police to forcibly clear the area, leading to bloody clashes and multiple arrests. During the day on August 5th, police deployed a large force, and the streets were cleared.
Reporters from Jiangxi Radio and Television's "Redu News" program contacted the family of the victim, Lai Moumou. The family revealed that Lai Moumou had been bullied repeatedly by the same group of people. An investigation revealed that the incident occurred on the afternoon of July 22. 15-year-old Liu A, having a conflict with 14-year-old Lai, invited 13-year-old Liu B and 14-year-old Peng to take Lai to a vacant area of a building, where they verbally abused, threatened, and assaulted him. Onlookers also watched and filmed the incident, which was then uploaded to the internet.
