Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria stated that a new strategy for developing Indonesia's digital talent is the answer to the disruption caused by artificial intelligence and global challenges in the digital economy.
Nezar emphasized the importance of developing a human resource ecosystem capable of understanding and mastering the latest technology in line with the expansion of digital connectivity networks.
"We must achieve meaningful connectivity , and this can only be achieved through superior digital talent. Digital innovations can only be driven by qualified digital talent," Nezar said in a statement.
According to him, Indonesia can emulate other countries such as China, which once faced high-tech restrictions in the form of a ban on the use of high-end GPUs from the United States, but they were able to build a competitive local AI platform like DeepSeek.
