Dewa United Banten entered Group A in the 2025 All Indonesia Indonesian Basketball League (IBL), which is competing for the Menpora Cup, following the group draw held at the Media Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The 2025 IBL champions entered the tournament with high confidence despite being in a group considered the group of death.
"We are optimistic that we can achieve the best results and achieve the highest possible results," said Dewa United Banten player Dio Tirta after representing his team in the group draw.
The guard stated that his team was ready to win the tournament to add to the titles they had already won this season.
Group A is the most competitive compared to Group B, because it is filled with strong teams such as Rajawali Medan, Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung, Tangerang Hawks Basketball, Pacific Caesar Surabaya, Bima Perkasa Jogja, and Borneo Hornbills.
