 President Erdoğan said that "Israel's decision to impose full military control over Gaza is unacceptable," noting that Türkiye continues its diplomatic efforts to reach a ceasefire.

He noted the importance of the statements made by France, the United Kingdom, and Canada regarding their potential recognition of the State of Palestine, adding that "the level of Western criticism of Israel is increasing, and Turkey will stand with Palestine and continue working to establish lasting peace and calm in the region."

During the call, President Erdoğan and the Palestinian President discussed the Israeli attacks on Gaza and the current situation.

According to the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, Abbas expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for Turkey's steadfast political stance in support of the Palestinian cause and the ongoing humanitarian aid Ankara provides to the Palestinian people, particularly in light of the catastrophic humanitarian conditions facing the Gaza Strip.

Abbas praised Turkey's stance in rejecting attempts to displace Palestinians, stressing the importance of joint coordination between the two countries to confront these Israeli policies, which violate international legitimacy and law.
