Egyptian contacts to resolve the dispute over the Gaza agreement, and the head of Mossad is in Doha to resume negotiations.

Al-Qahira News Channel quoted unnamed sources as saying that meetings between a Hamas delegation and Egyptian officials are continuing in Cairo. The delegation arrived in Egypt to revive indirect negotiations that stalled in late July following the US-Israeli withdrawal.

The sources explained that the Hamas delegation appreciates Egypt's efforts to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip and achieve a ceasefire, noting that Egypt is intensifying its contacts with all parties with the aim of reaching a truce.

A Hamas delegation headed by Khalil al-Hayya arrived in Egypt on Tuesday as part of Cairo's intensive efforts to reach a 60-day truce in the Gaza Strip.

Egyptian sources confirmed that Hamas is counting on a rapid resumption of ceasefire negotiations as a prelude to ending the war, while Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati confirmed that Cairo is working with Qatar and the United States to return to the sixty-day truce proposal.

The discussion concerns the proposal put forward during previous rounds of negotiations in Doha, which includes a 60-day ceasefire, a prisoner exchange, and the return of bodies, under possible US guarantees, according to Israeli media reports.

In this context, Channel 13 reported that Mossad chief David Barnea visited the Qatari capital, Doha, on Thursday, as part of efforts to resume ceasefire negotiations and prisoner exchange with Hamas.

The channel reported that the head of Mossad visited Doha on Thursday, as mediators continue their efforts to revive the exchange deal. However, Qatari authorities have not confirmed this.

The channel claimed that assessments in Israel in recent days indicate "the possibility of a new ceasefire proposal from Hamas," while Hamas did not immediately comment.

It's worth noting that Israel estimates there are approximately 50 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, 20 of whom are still alive. Meanwhile, the occupation is holding more than 10,800 Palestinians in detention, who are suffering harsh conditions, according to human rights reports.

Hamas has repeatedly declared its willingness to release Israeli prisoners "in one batch" in exchange for an end to the war of extermination, the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, and the release of Palestinian prisoners. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, has evaded the offer by proposing new conditions, including the disarmament of Palestinian factions.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The Israeli genocide left 61,776 Palestinians dead, 154,906 injured, and more than 9,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and famine claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
