Erdogan: Türkiye has sent more than 101,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza

This came in a post by the Turkish president on the NSosyal platform on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, which is observed annually on August 19. He emphasized that Ankara is among the most generous countries in the world in providing aid, relative to the size of its gross domestic product.

Erdogan pointed to a "bitter truth" that is being reiterated on this occasion: more than 300 million people are deprived of their most basic needs. He emphasized that providing humanitarian aid is "a matter of conscience that transcends politics," and that Turkey extends a helping hand to the oppressed regardless of their identity or faith.
