The Moroccan Committee for Supporting the Nation’s Issues (non-governmental) organized these protests in several cities, including: Casablanca (west), Inzegane (center), Oujda (east), Tangier, and Tetouan (north).
Participants in the protests raised Palestinian flags, along with pictures depicting the starvation policies being faced by the people of the Gaza Strip.
Protesters chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian cause, as well as others calling for continued support, including: "Moroccan greetings to proud Gaza" and "From Morocco to Palestine, one people, not two."
On Thursday, the German capital, Berlin, witnessed a solidarity vigil attended by dozens of activists and supporters, expressing their support for the Palestinian people and demanding an end to the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid.
Since the genocide began on October 7, 2023, Israel has been simultaneously committing a starvation crime against the Palestinians of Gaza. On March 2, it tightened its blockade by closing all crossings to humanitarian, relief, and medical aid, causing famine to spread and reach "catastrophic" levels.
The US-backed genocide left approximately 208,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many.
