Since Sunday dawn, the Israeli occupation forces have killed 16 Palestinians in separate attacks, including seven aid workers, while carrying out the most violent bombings of residential buildings in days in the northern, central, and southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that eight Palestinians, including a child, had died of starvation and malnutrition over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of famine victims in the Strip to 289, including 115 children, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).

Dozens of families continue to leave their neighborhoods in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip for central and southern areas due to escalating Israeli attacks under the so-called Operation Gideon 2. Medical sources reported the deaths and injuries of dozens of Palestinians in new massacres, while the death toll from famine has also risen.

The Israeli occupation forces have been carrying out intensive bombing and destruction operations for nearly two weeks in the Shuja'iyya, Zeitoun, and Sabra neighborhoods east and south of Gaza City, as well as in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military said Sunday that forces from the 401st Brigade have returned to fighting in Jabalia in recent days, seeking to "target Hamas's capabilities and destroy its military infrastructure above and below ground."

This escalation comes as Gaza's state media has warned of a planned comprehensive invasion of the Strip, describing it as an "unprecedented disaster" and a major war crime, in light of the systematic destruction of the health system. The media has held the occupation, Israel, the United States, and the international community fully responsible.
