Here's a summary of leaks of the iPhone Fold, which is predicted to be released in 2026.

Apple is expected to release its first foldable iPhone Fold in 2026, but various leaks have already emerged regarding this foldable phone.

Quoting MacRumors, here is a summary of the leaked specifications of the iPhone Fold that have circulated so far.

In terms of design, the iPhone Fold is said to have a design similar to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold and will not adopt a clamshell appearance.

Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo said the iPhone Fold will be between 9-9.5 inches thick when folded and 4.5-4.8 inches when unfolded.

Furthermore, for the screen size, this smartphone will have a size of 5.5 inches when the iPhone screen is folded and a size of 7.8 inches similar to the size of the iPad mini when this smartphone is opened.

Thanks to the use of metal plates that can dampen and control pressure when the screen is bent, it is said that Apple's iPhone Fold will have a screen display that is almost crease-free.

In selecting materials, Apple chose titanium for the frame, with hinges that combine titanium and stainless steel. There are also rumors that Apple is using liquid metal for the hinges to increase durability.

For the camera, based on information from Ming Chi Kuo, the iPhone Fold will have a dual camera on the back and one front camera each on the inside and outside.

This is also confirmed by Digital Chat Station, a technology leaker on Weibo, who claims that the dual lenses on the back will have a resolution of 48 MP.

Other sources claim that the inner screen will have an under-display camera (USC), while the outer screen – when the device is folded – will have a punch-hole camera.

In terms of security sensors, Ming Chi Kuo believes that this smartphone will eliminate the FaceID authentication feature and instead use the Touch ID side button.

This was also confirmed by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who said the move aligns with Apple's previous efforts to integrate Touch ID into the side button on the iPad, iPad Air, and iPad mini.

By sacrificing some features like Face ID, Apple is trying to free up space for battery cells and focus on improving power efficiency.
