Hsiao Mei-ching was followed by Chinese authorities and nearly caused a car accident. Beijing criticized the Czech Republic for allowing a "non-local visit" as a violation of the "One China Principle"

The Mainland Affairs Council stated that the incident fully exposed the violent nature of the Chinese Communist regime and proved that it has no sincerity in communicating in good faith with Taiwan's democratically elected government

In March last year, Taiwan's Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim visited the Czech Republic as Vice President-elect. She was followed by Chinese diplomats and almost had a car accident. Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council expressed a solemn protest on Friday (27th) and strongly condemned the Chinese Communist Party's vile behavior; the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the Czech Republic for allowing Hsiao Bi-khim's "unannounced visit", which seriously violated the "One China Principle".

On March 18 last year, Hsiao Bi-ching embarked on a three-day trip to the Czech Republic and met with Senate Speaker Miloš Vystrčil. However, it was later reported that she was followed by Chinese diplomats during her visit to the Czech Republic and almost caused a car accident. The Czech Military Intelligence Agency confirmed that it had monitored Chinese intelligence units attempting to carry out destructive actions against "protected persons". Local media also pointed out that the action even planned to collide with Hsiao Bi-ching's car.

The Mainland Affairs Council strongly condemns the deliberate attack by personnel of the Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic and demands that the Beijing authorities immediately make a public explanation and apology to Taiwan and the international community for this uncivilized behavior that violates international norms and endangers personal safety.

Mainland Affairs Council: Fully exposes the violent nature of the regime

The Mainland Affairs Council stated that the Chinese Communist Party has repeatedly disregarded public opinion in Taiwan and planned violent threats against Taiwan's democratically elected vice president. It even attempted to launch terrorist attacks and intimidate before the president and vice president took office. This not only fully exposes the violent nature of the Chinese Communist regime, but also proves that it has no sincerity in communicating in good faith with Taiwan's democratically elected government.

In Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun criticized the Czech Republic for allowing the "Taiwan independence" diehard Hsiao Bi-khim to "visit", which seriously violated the "One China Principle" and the Czech Republic's political commitments to China and grossly interfered in China's internal affairs. China has expressed strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition to this.

Guo Jiakun said that Chinese diplomats have always abided by the laws and regulations of the host country. China urges relevant parties not to be instigated and exploited by Taiwan independence separatist forces, not to make trouble out of nothing, and not to maliciously hype, interfere with, and undermine relations between the two countries. No matter how the DPP authorities change their tricks and rely on foreign countries to pursue independence, they cannot cover up their sinister intentions and are doomed to fail.
