In March last year, Taiwan's Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim visited the Czech Republic as Vice President-elect. She was followed by Chinese diplomats and almost had a car accident. Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council expressed a solemn protest on Friday (27th) and strongly condemned the Chinese Communist Party's vile behavior; the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the Czech Republic for allowing Hsiao Bi-khim's "unannounced visit", which seriously violated the "One China Principle".
On March 18 last year, Hsiao Bi-ching embarked on a three-day trip to the Czech Republic and met with Senate Speaker Miloš Vystrčil. However, it was later reported that she was followed by Chinese diplomats during her visit to the Czech Republic and almost caused a car accident. The Czech Military Intelligence Agency confirmed that it had monitored Chinese intelligence units attempting to carry out destructive actions against "protected persons". Local media also pointed out that the action even planned to collide with Hsiao Bi-ching's car.
The Mainland Affairs Council strongly condemns the deliberate attack by personnel of the Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic and demands that the Beijing authorities immediately make a public explanation and apology to Taiwan and the international community for this uncivilized behavior that violates international norms and endangers personal safety.
