The World Boxing Association (WBA) announced that heavyweight boxers Moses Itauma and Dillian Whyte are set to enter the ring on Saturday (August 16) at the Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to fight for the WBA International title.
"This fight is a true intergenerational clash between one of Britain's most promising young stars and a former world title challenger hungry for revenge," the WBA said on its website.
At 20 years old, Itauma has been considered one of the top prospects in the heavyweight division since his professional debut.
The sharp and explosive southpaw has knocked out his last eight opponents in less than two rounds to strengthen his undefeated record of 12 wins, 10 of which have been knockouts.
Itauma's speed, power and instincts are said to be similar to former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua.
The upcoming match will be Itauma's first international appearance. His regional title is on the line and represents the toughest test of his young career.
Meanwhile, 37-year-old Whyte returns to the ring after a hiatus due to injury and controversy.
