Mexicali trustee denies having authorized reparation agreement

Mexicali, April 21. Mexicali's public prosecutor, Héctor Ceseña, asserts that he had no involvement in the settlement agreement reached by the Municipal Social Welfare Agency (Bisom) for a former employee to pay the 3 million pesos he stole from public funds in 2019, during the administration headed by current Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda as mayor.

However, a document signed by him indicates that he authorized the municipal department to carry out this reparation agreement.

As is known, a local judge approved the settlement agreement between the defendant and the municipal agency, which requires Enrique "N" to pay 36 monthly installments of 83,333 pesos each.

Council members from the National Action Party, the leadership of the Institutional Revolutionary Party, and Coparmex are among those who questioned the failure to consider the interest generated over the four years, which is detrimental to the treasury.
